Sylvian Care Farnham Recognised as a Top 20 Rated Home Care Provider in South East England

Sylvian Care Farnham is celebrating after being recognised by Homecare.co.uk as a top 20 rated home care provider in South East England.

The annual Home Care Awards 2025 recognises 20 of the top-rated home care providers in each region of the UK based on reviews from service users, clients and their family and friends.

Andrada Horvat was just 27 when she set up her home care business at the end of 2023. She met her business partner Claudiu Dordea when they were both carers for Sylvian Care.

‘This is a huge award for us,’ said Andrada. ‘I cried when I heard about it.

‘We always focus on quality. Our priority is ensuring that our clients receive the best possible care.’

Andrada believes starting the business was the best decision she has ever made. When she came to the UK, aged 21, her first job was as a waitress.

She decided to study for a degree in business management. While she was at university Andrada worked part time as a carer for Sylvian Care and that experience changed her life.

When she finished her degree, she decided to become a Sylvian Care franchise owner.

‘I wanted to run a business that made a real difference,’ she said.

Andrada has always had a caring nature. As a child in Romania, she was very close to her grandparents.

‘I come from such a caring family, and I want our clients to be cared for the way I would care for my own grandparents,’ she said.

‘I truly believe that when you do good, good things come back to you.’

Cristina Grancea, CEO of Sylvian Care, said: ‘When Andrada and Claudiu joined our network, they brought with them a deep sense of purpose. From the beginning, they wanted to build something meaningful, a service rooted in trust, empathy and genuine human connection.

‘This award is a reflection of the values they live by every day and the incredible service they have built. As their franchisor I couldn’t be prouder.’
